if one claims that the bible is the inspired word of god, good for teaching, etc.... would not the making of books to explain the bible mean that you beileve that god did not know what he was doing .

in the book of revelations we find an interesting thing... god seated upon his throne enshrouded by the rainbow surrounded by the four living creatures... a lion, the bull, the man and the eagle... .

one need not look far to find an striking parallel... coincidence?

you judge.. the sun is surrounded by the rainbow and the four corners of the ancient sky in astrology, the constellations of leo [the lion] taurus [the bull], aquarius [the man carrying water] and scorpio which in ancient times was also symbolized by an eagle.. that these four are only the corners every 4104 years may be important to understanding when the bible was first written... .

the name jesus is an english transliteration of iesus which is latin for iesous which is greek for yehoshua [joshua] which was a combination of yhvh+hosea, first given to hosea the son of nun, by moses to commerate the deliverance or salvation [meaning of hosea], by yhvh [the lord].. well in latin, lord is domino.

so the full meaning of jesus is---.

since the 1930s, jws have claimed that millions alive would never die and this hope attracted literally millions....of suckers?

after all, since they have all but died, who were they?

they were not what jws claimed them to be, namely a great crowd would would survive the end of the world and help make earth a paradise.

what is the meaning of life??

one thing which kept me trapped as a jw far longer than necessary was the fear that if i left and no longer believed, my life would be empty of meaning and futile and ultimately end in a meaningless death.

i could not find any meaning in the world apart from the view jws had imposed upon me... all other ways seemed to lead only to meaninglessness.. but once out and even without a belief in any god[s] i still found my life meaningful but it took several years before i understood my new source of meaning and now see it as the only valid source... i will explain this after i see some of your ideas as i do not wish to bias your answers in advance.

soulless souls

many years ago --around 1984-6-- my youngest brother asked me why i would waste my time persuing a religion which only promised that a copy of me would inhabit paradise if i died now.. at the time the full impact of his question escaped me... .

years later in a spiritual time of crisis that question reared its head and bit me hard... it suddenly made sense.. jws teach that the soul is you, all of you, alive or dead.

there is no immortal soul for the jw, only an impersonal spirit which animates the body and like electricity is cut off and symbolically returns to god who gave it.
